Facebook/Instagram permissions explained
Updated over a week ago

When you connect your Instagram Business Account, we request permissions from your Facebook Page and Instagram Account.

They are used to create a Tagger Account and to access insights data about your account.

We're not using any permissions to modify your accounts in any way. All of them are used only to read data about your accounts.

Creating Tagger Account

Receive your email address

We use this permission to access your email address.

Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your Page

It lets us get basic data on an Instagram Business Account profile, such as username and profile picture.

Read content posted on the Page

This is the only optional permission - you can successfully create an account in Tagger without it. We use it better to determine potential error reasons during the Sign Up process and help you troubleshoot issues.

Access to Creator's insights

Access insights for the Instagram account connected to your Page

We use this permission to access your Instagram account's metadata, data insights, and story insights.

Show a list of the Pages you manage

We use this permission to read your Instagram Business Accounts data and access the list of Facebook Pages you manage.

Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks for a Page

This permission allows us to subscribe to and receive webhooks, which help us obtain the most exact data about stories.
